The College of Medicine, Department of Pathology is looking for a Post Doc Fellow. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.


Job Summary:   We are currently seeking applicants with interest in studying the molecular and cellular basis underlying dietary lipid influence on metabolic disorders such as atherosclerosis, obesity/diabetes, liver disease, and tumor progression.  Current projects are focused on the influence of apolipoproteins, lipoprotein receptors, and lipolytic enzymes in modulating tissue partitioning and sensing of lipid and glucose nutrients and in nutrient modulation of cell signal transduction events.  Both in vitro cell culture systems and genetically-modified mouse models are employed for these experiments.


 Minimum qualifications: MD and/or PhD in a related field
