Requisition Number: 30435 Job Title: ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST, SENIOR Working Title: Accreditation Reporting Project Manager/Writer Salary: $4,842 - $9,591 monthly Job Type: Contract Department Name: 0300-ANDERSON GRAD SCH OF MANAGEMENT Department Website URL: Job Summary Statement: Partner with the Assistant Dean of Strategic Initiatives under the general direction of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) Continuous Improvement Review (CIR) Steering Committee Chair in the execution of the project plan for the AACSB CIR. The CIR ensures that UCLA Anderson remains accredited. This project involves an extensive self-study, reported to three Deans from peer business schools, reviewed by the review board of AACSB. The purpose of the review is to ensure compliance with accreditation standards, create an occasion for collaborative learning with industry leaders, and create the foundation for our future strategic planning. As such, it is a highly consequential project with long term consequences for the future direction of the school and our reputation in the field of management education.

Work includes collaborating with other Dean's Office/Academic Personnel Office/Program Administration/Faculty stakeholders to collect and organize information to be compiled into the CIR report. Work with stakeholders to clarify what information is needed in what format by what date and facilitate meetings with AACSB when necessary. Project manage the timely submissions of information. Manage the organization of all related documents. Work closely with a work-study student and business intelligence intern regarding inputs into the report and appendices.

Analyze submissions from stakeholders to create a synthesis across our operations to report on the school. Verify full reporting across 15 accreditation standards. Make additional requests for submissions from stakeholders based on gaps exposed by analyses. When appropriate, propose new school policy to be confirmed by the Faculty Executive Committee, regarding consistent definitions of key categories, new processes, etc. as demanded by the requirements of accreditation. Compile, elaborate and edit document for accuracy, consistency, and a unified voice/tone. Ensure consistent formatting and style of document and embed hyperlinks to reference documents. Create table of contents and appendix formatting. Manage revision process with a wide group of stakeholders. Finalize document for submission to the copy editor. Final report will be 50 pages of prose and 500+ pages of prose, tables, charts, etc. in 40 appendices.

Create visually pleasing presentations for use by the Dean in quarterly and ad hoc presentations to faculty, staff, alumni, and Board of Advisors, incorporating historical to illustrate school trends (e.g. 5- to 10-year histories of admissions, fundraising efforts, student recruiting results, major events etc.) and providing comparative demographic profiles of current and recent student bodies along with current and/or additional data as requested by the Dean. Demonstrated ability to analyze & produce accurate and reliable reports, spreadsheets, databases, and word-processed documents using appropriate software (Microsoft Word, Access, Powerpoint, Tableau, and Excel).


Analytical skills to organize data and material to define problems or objectives, identify relevant factors, draw appropriate conclusions, and recognize alternatives.


Ability to analyze ledgers and other financial reports and interpret and explain the data and underlying concepts to others, both orally and in writing.


Skill in prioritizing assignments and ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, facility with drawing out information for the purposes of reporting.


Outstanding interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with faculty, staff, senior leadership.


Organizational ability to facilitate and coordinate content planning efforts.


Ability to work some evenings and weekends.


Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information.


Knowledgeable of University Policies and Procedures.


Masters degree, particularly in Education, Business, English, or Journalism.


Experience writing accreditation reports, technical reports, instruction manuals, or grants.


Work experience in higher education or professional school graduate program related experience.
