Requisition Number: 30041 Job Title: SECURITY GUARD, SENIOR Working Title: Security Ambassador Salary: $18.34 - $24.17 hourly Job Type: Limited Department Name: 3187-LAKE ARROWHEAD CONFERENCE CENTER Department Website URL: http://lakearrowheadconferencecenter.ucla.edu/ Job Summary Statement: Under the direction of the Assistant Director, the Security Ambassador is responsible for the safety and security, of the Lake Arrowhead Conference Center and Bruin Woods (LACC) guests, team members, and physical assets. Incumbent acts as a liaison with UCLA Administration, San Bernardino County Sheriff, and County and/or Cal Fire Department and other emergency departments. The Security Ambassador performs routine tasks such as perimeter checks and completes daily shift reports. Incumbent also completes incident reports as necessary. Security Ambassador serves to meet the needs and requests for guests, as needed.

Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays. Percentage of Time: 50 Shift Start: variable Shift End: variable Qualifications for Position

At least one year of experience in security, loss prevention or related field.

Working knowledge of security and safety procedures.

Ability to stand, walk, crawl, climb, stoop, push, pull, and crouch for extended periods. Able to repeatedly raise or lower objects weighing up to 50 lbs. from the floor to waist high and rotate upper torso. Ability to work in dirty and noisy conditions, in wet or humid weather and in fluctuating and/or extreme temperatures.

Demonstrated ability to address emergency situations.

Ability to set goals and priorities, which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities, when faced with fluctuating workloads, pressure of deadlines and competing requirements.

Available to work varying schedules; including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime in order to reflect the business needs of the conference center.

Must possess a Valid California Driver License in order to drive University vehicles.
