Requisition Number: 28861 Job Title: PROGRAM REPRESENTATIVE III Working Title: Events and Social Media Manager Salary: $4,009 - $7,925 monthly Job Type: Contract Department Name: 0033-ARCHITECTURE & URBAN DESIGN DEPARTMENT Department Website URL: www.aud.ucla.edu Job Summary Statement: The Events and Social Media Manager plans and coordinates public programs and student recruitment for UCLA's Architecture and Urban Design (AUD), a department within the UCLA School of Arts and Architecture (SOAA).

Major responsibilities include:

- Coordination of 30-35 events/year on the main UCLA campus and assisting with events at AUD's IDEAS campus near Culver City

- Collecting and archiving faculty and student work and packaging for promotion via social media and the AUD website

- Management of recruitment efforts for AUD's programs in collaboration with the Chair and Director of Outreach

- Management of AUD's social media channels across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Percentage of Time: 100% Shift Start: 8:00 am Shift End: 5:00 pm Qualifications for Position

Experience coordinating events of varying complexity and duration.

Skill in creating, managing and monitoring budgets to track and control event, marketing and publication expenses.

Demonstrated project management experience and analytical skills to independently initiate, prioritize and track complex, competing schedules; proactively anticipate and complete tasks; and coordinate programs.

Skill in organizing data in order to create schedules, spreadsheets, reports and mail merges.

Required

Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills to prepare publications, newsletters, catalogue material, and articles in an academic environment.

Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to articulate information on a one-to-one basis using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to impart and obtain information.

Strong internet research skills with the ability to find and compile interesting and relevant content (blog posts, news items, photos, video, etc.).

Knowledge and understanding of basic marketing principles and strategies.
