Job Description

Overview

This position will assist with implementing projects focused on building a community health worker infrastructure in Arkansas. This work will be implemented in partnership with multiple stakeholders but in particular, the Arkansas Department of Health. Key duties will include clerical and administrative duties such as coordinating meetings and meeting logistics, taking minutes, communicating with stakeholders, and reporting on progress; participating in research team, community, and stakeholder meetings; conducting searches of published and gray literature and summarizing findings; and developing and maintaining datasets and entering data entry.

Salary: offered commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

* Conducting searches of published and gray literature and summarizing findings.
* Clerical and administrative duties including coordinating meetings and meeting logistics, taking minutes, communicating with stakeholders, and reporting on progress.
* Developing and maintaining datasets and entering data entry.
* Participating in research team, community, and stakeholder meetings.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualificatons:

* Highschool/GED plus 4 years of administrative experience or Bachelor Degree.
* Adequate computer skills for internet searches and data entry.
* General skills in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Excellent professional oral communication skills.
* Good temperament, courteous, conscientious, and enterprising.
* Excellent telephone manners.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Past experience with community engagement in public health (2 mos).
* Past exposure to the Arkansas Department of Health (2 mos).
* Past exposure to health promotion (1 year).
