Job Description

Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center is a 293-bed acute care facility that has been providing quality healthcare to residents of Southern Nevada since 1971. The hospital has long been referred to as "The Heart Hospital" by residents, due to its solid reputation as a leader in cardiac care. The hospital offers 24-hour emergency services and is nationally recognized for its diabetes, weight loss (bariatric) surgery, cardiac, and stroke programs.

Job Description: Responsible for providing a comprehensive evaluation of performance components affecting ADL functioning and providing goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum level of independence. Assists leaders with scheduling, training, orientation and performance reviews for COTAs and occupational therapists.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from a university program satisfying the AOTA academic and intern requirements for competence.

License/Certification: Nevada State Licensure of a Registered Occupational Therapist. Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. Current CPR certification

Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.

Note: May work as a Graduate of Occupational Therapy with recognition of the Board of Occupational Therapist Examiners with on-site direct supervision
