This individual will be responsible for Disaster Recovery plan management and documentation for business critical applications. Concentrated functional areas of job performance will include: managing the creation and ongoing maintenance of DR plans and supporting documentation for critical applications; supporting internal DR data and quality management processes; engaging with mergers and acquisitions; developing/documenting/improving process and guidelines which support the DR program; assisting with the management of an actual disaster event which impacts organizational assets.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Developing/documenting/improving process and guidelines which support the Disaster Recovery program

* Develop DR materials by working with and educating application teams, infrastructure teams, management, and businesses in the documentation of DR Plans

* Engage with acquired entities and manage integration into corporate DR standards

* Provide expertise in the design, development, implementation, and testing of disaster recovery technology solutions

* Facilitate discussions on platform dependencies and application interdependencies

* Understand the complexities of methodologies for recovering services at an alternative site

* Analyze applications and interdependencies to understand the landscape of applications for which plans need to be written

* Support or manage key processes for data quality reviews of DR plans

* Assist with the management of an actual disaster event which impacts organizational assets

* Use strong skillsets to work effectively with cross functional areas in ambiguous situations. Ideal candidate should possess the following: analytical/problem-solving skills, negotiation skills; verbal, written and visual presentation skills; consensus building ability; ability to collaborate and perform well within a complex matrixed organization

Required Qualifications:

* 5 years or more Disaster Recovery work experience/SME
* Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
* Locations are based in an approved Optum Tech office (not telecommuter)
