As a Finance Intern, you will get an opportunity to work support various Business Unit compliance activities.

Specific responsibilities of this role include:

* Assist with monthly control activities including preparing and monitoring month-end reports
* Forecasting, planning, risks and opportunities tracking
* Assist with Account Reconciliations
* Prepare variance and ad-hoc analysis
* Provide financial counsel and support to the business
* Assist in different aspects of compliance and special project activities
* Assist in Sarbanes Oxley compliance, testing, and monthly controls related activities
* Basic financial analysis
* Potential meetings and working with senior leadership

Education / Certifications

Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field from an accredited institution.

Experience/Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* Must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field from an accredited institution
* Must have GPA of 3.0 or higher
* Must have completed 30 hours of college coursework

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge of Financial Statements
* Knowledge of MS Excel
* Excellent analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong interpersonal and communications skills
* Ability to work independently
* Results-oriented
* Self-starter attitude
* Financial Reporting software (such as HFM) and ERP systems (such as SAP) knowledge desirable, but not required
* Understanding of basic accounting principles
* Previous UTC or Collins Aerospace (formerly UTAS) Internship Experience a plus
