Leads daily shift activities
Completes requisition to storeroom for product
Ensure employees are following proper food preparation using proper handling procedures
Prepares food items for special functions, charters and menu presentations
Prepares cold plates, snack boxes, dressings, sauces and garnishes and packs entrees according to menus and preparation specifications
Dates and rotates products
Cleans and sanitizes work area and equipment
Packs special meals
Performs other duties as assigned
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) or equivalent preferred
Basic math skills and knowledge of weights and measures
Must not have any written termination warning within the past 6 months
Attendance requirements for current active and inactive employees:
Continental Airlines employees must have X points or more remaining
Chelsea Food Services employees must have X points or less
At least one year in food preparation and handling
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to use standard kitchen equipment
Ability to understand to read specification books and production sheets
Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays and overtime as needed
Works indoors in a cool area at 42 degrees F throughout the shift
Occasionally enters refrigerated area at 35 degrees F to store entrees
Handles raw and cooked food items
Must be able to walk, reach, stand, bend, stretch and lift/push/pull kitchen items
Must be willing to work any shift in a 24/7 week, including weekends, nights and holidays
Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship
