Job Description

The Supply Department's internship program enables talented students to experience the work environment of a Fortune 200 company while continuing their education. Students gain insight into the U.S. transportation industry while working for an industry leader. This position will be administered as a year-round, paid internship in Omaha, Nebraska and provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment with one of America's leading transportation and logistics companies. The work schedule is flexible and can be designed to accommodate the course commitments of the successful candidate. A flexible work schedule includes up to 40 hours per week during the summer months and 20-30 hours per week during the academic year. The specific work assignments will depend upon the student's qualifications, as well as the duration of the work period; however, students will be assigned projects and tasks equivalent to those of any analyst entry level position within the Supply Chain department. Preference will be given to students currently enrolled and working towards completing an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field of study. Job Responsibilities

* Interact with suppliers to ensure on-time material delivery performance.
* Develop and implement solutions for unique and complex supply chain problems.
* Coordinate supplier claims with field warehouses..
* Support operational needs in a fast-paced environment. .

As an intern, you will build knowledge and experience in our core business groups and their vision, business objectives, processes, systems, and services. The intern will have extensive contact with peers and interaction with senior leaders. There will also be an opportunity to put leadership, technical skills and business knowledge to immediate use through high value project assignments.

Assist with project management for various company initiatives and complete administrative tasks and special projects Learn and perform core department business group work tasks, processes, and customer services Perform administrative support for department business group managers Develop and execute project action plans and perform team assignments Build and strengthen a network of professional contacts within departments and across the company Perform other duties as assigned

College credits equivalent to one year toward an undergraduate degree with preference for Supply Chain Management or closely related field of study. Basic organization AND prioritization skills Basic time and project management skills Proficient verbal and written communication skills

GPA of 3.0 or higher Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills Solid understanding of basic supply chain concepts and processes
