Job Title: Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator

Department: Training

Reports To: VP, Partner Education and Training

Location: Strongsville


This position is responsible for support of the Union University learning management system, including training for partners based on his/her access and needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage users and content data entry (course creation, user creation and related processes)
  • Write and maintain LMS user guide, policies and procedures related to eLearning
  • Manage community areas within the LMS including appearances tabs, settings
  • Coordinate with IT regarding help desk and user support
  • Manage upgrades and system needs as identified through LMS vendor
  • Ensure efficient functionality of resources and that vendor is performing to contract terms and SLAs
  • Provide immediate response to problems and situations affecting normal operations
  • Perform capacity planning for data storage and maintenance
  • Review system performance proactively
  • Generate reports from LMS as needed


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with LMS, or equivalent education
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite


  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • High level of problem solving skills
  • Understanding of all aspects of LMS
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled at multi-tasking and keeping organized
