Job Description

Job Title: Legal Intern

Job Summary:

This is a paid legal internship which will support the VP of Finance and other key employees with a range of transactional matters. The intern will gain exposure to a wide variety of contracts and projects during their time here. We are looking for someone to work on a part-time basis. If the intern demonstrates interest with certain types of transactions, accommodations can be made to provide exposure to those as the transactions arise.

Key Job Duties:

1. Review both legal and non-legal documents, while evaluating risks, summarizing critical details for review, and recommending appropriate changes.

2. Draft legal and non-legal documents, such as business process, employee policies, or legal letters.

3. Once sufficiently comfortable with the work and the skills needed, the intern will be relied on to edit contracts, draft changes, and negotiate as needed.

4. Organize and keep legal database current.

5. Be able to multitask and assist other departments with their legal needs on occasion.

6. Perform other related tasks and activities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

* Have already completed 1L year
* Detail-oriented and able to problem solve
* Ability to multitask
* Be proactive, flexible, and diligent
* Work part-time, between 15-20 hours per week (schedule can be flexible).
