Job Description

Mid-West Intern

UNICEF USA seeks two interns for its Mid-West office. The intern will be responsible for assisting the Chicago team with a wide variety of fundraising and marketing activities relating to individual and corporate giving. The internship will provide experience with educational event planning and execution as well as individual and donor relations. Interns will also have the unique opportunity to learn about UNICEF's work and various international causes and programs currently underway.We are currently seeking unpaid interns for our cohort that will commence February 11, 2020 and end May 8, 2020.

This internship would provide an opportunity to learn about:

* Managing event planning and execution
* Prospect research, profile and communication
* UNICEF programs

Key Responsibilities/Projects:

* Assisting with the planning and execution of annual UNICEF Chicago Gala and additional post event donor engagements
* Conducting donor prospect research
* Maintaining donor information in database
* Handling donor information requests and communication
* Completing due diligence reports
* Preparing solicitation materials and other various projects for cultivation events, special events and advocacy updates as needed.

Qualifications:

* Must be a current student enrolled in a College or University degree program
* Interest in program management, fundraising, development or related field preferred
* Must have strong written and oral communication skills
* Must have excellent interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail
* Able to work both independently and collaboratively
* Fluency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred
* Must be a highly motivated team player who enthusiastically embraces the mission of UNICEF and UNICEF USA
* Must demonstrate UNICEF USA Core Values: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork and Service

Time Frame: Spring 2020

Days per Week: Flexible

Hours per Week: 15-20

This is an unpaid internship. Travel stipend will be provided.
