Job Description

Prospect Development/Donor Communications Intern

UNICEF USA seeks a Prospect Development/Donor Communications Intern who is eager to learn familiarity with emergency humanitarian response; basic web editing; basic prospecting and research skills; a general overview of data analytics and interaction with frontline fundraisers. The intern will complete their internship with an understanding of issues, events, corporate and not for profit communications. We are currently seeking unpaid interns for our fall cohort that will commence September 17, 2019 and end December 13, 2019.

This internship would provide an opportunity to learn about:

* Donor research and communication
* Data analytics and customer relationship management (CRM)
* Basic web editing

Key Responsibilities/Projects:

* Use donor database ( Blackbaud CRM) and other information systems, and update accordingly to maintain data integrity
* Create basic wealth capacity estimates and assist with basic research assignments
* Brainstorm and support in drafting communications for donors and partners
* Assist in assigning new fundraising prospects to fundraisers

Qualifications:

* Must be a current student enrolled in a College or University degree program
* Applicants should possess strong communication skills, demonstrate initiative, creativity and enthusiasm
* An interest in database management, fundraising or similar field
* Attention to detail and organizational skills
* Fluency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred
* Must be a highly motivated team player who enthusiastically embraces the mission of UNICEF and UNICEF USA
* Must demonstrate UNICEF USA Core Values: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork, and Service

Time Frame: Fall 2019

Days per Week: Consecutive Full Days preferred

Hours per Week: 14 hours

This is an unpaid internship. Travel stipend will be provided.
