Under the general
direction of the Clinical Director, Treatment Operations Manager, Chief of Clinical
Physics, and Medical Director, the Chief Radiation Therapy Technologist
supervises the brachytherapy treatment operations of the Radiation Oncology Department, including brachytherapy and simulations.  Major responsibilities
include: supervise therapists and student trainees; oversee the development and
monitoring of a quality assurance program; supervise patient scheduling and
problem resolution; oversee treatment machine staffing and operation, treatment
planning and dose calculation; and supervise the performance of a wide variety
of technical therapeutic procedures involving the application of ionizing
radiation according to MD's prescription. The person also is responsible for
administrative duties including participating in the department performance
improvement initiatives, working with the billing team, treatment scheduling,
chart rounds, supervision of radiation therapy technologist staff, other
administrative duties as necessary, etc. This position is a working
Chief Therapist primarily based in Westwood, but may be required to work in Santa Monica and other community sites as needed.Qualifications

ARRT and CRT Certifications required.

Minimum 5 years of radiation therapist experience required.

Brachytherapy experience required.

Management experience preferred.

Experience with Epic and Aria strongly preferred.
