Job Description

Job Duties
As lab manager, will provide technical and supervisory support in a research laboratory. Planning, organizing, conducting and analyzing basic, pre-clinical and clinical research. Perform various laboratory related protocols involving tissue culture of murine and mammalian cells with sterile techniques, DNA/RNA/protein extraction/quantification from biological materials of different types for downstream applications. Perform research and regulatory document preparation, maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies, stocking and placing-monitoring laboratory orders. Perform trouble shooting. Work independently and demonstrate leadership.

Job Qualifications
Masters degree in Life Science or other related discipline. Working knowledge and experience in general immunology, cell biology and molecular biology techniques. Seven + years' experience in cell and tissue culture. Excellent record-keeping skills .Ability of writing research and clinical protocols. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Ability to complete tasks with minimal instructions. Flexibility of working hours to align with clinical and research projects. Knowledge of viral vector production and transduction of mammalian cells. Working knowledge of patient sample processing (tissue, blood). Ability to order supplies and use Bruinbuy, maintain laboratory equipment and write SOPs. Ability and knowledge to operate and service all-laboratory (Ribas Laboratory) equipment, i.e. centrifuge, tissue culture hood and related equipment, autoclaving, weighing, pipetting microliter volumes etc. Ability and working knowledge of Molecular Biology techniques including DNA, RNA, protein purification and quantification; PCR, qPCR, Western Blot. Ability to train a variety laboratory staff (high school students - postdoctoral fellows)
