Job Description

Job Duties
Responsible for the maintenance, in culture as well as stock maintenance of a panel of cancer cell lines. Responsible for testing novel therapeutics drugs in the cell lines in 2D as well as 3D (agar) proliferation assays. Maintain carbon dioxide incubators, water baths and assist with the ordering of reagents and laboratory supplies. Aliquot serums and prepare 10XPBS saline buffer. Responsible for general laboratory duties such as responsible for the delivery of any supplies, copy daily processing results, and prepare media for tissue culture.

Job Qualifications
Experience in biology, microbiology or related area. Ability to communicate and work as part of a team. Skill in time management and the ability to keep a detailed notebook. Working knowledge of sterilization process. Preferred: Experience in tissue culture procedures. Experience in maintaining proper usage of laboratory equipment. Knowledge of passage and expansion of tissue culture cells. Working knowledge of cell thawing for growth in tissue culture. Knowledge in cancer biology. Working knowledge of preparation of cell lines.
