Job Description

Job Duties
The primary function is as the Outpatient Rehab Supervisor and to assist the Rehab manager with various administrative and management tasks in the assigned area. In charge of Rehab Services in absence of Outpatient Rehab Manager. Additionally, the PT or OT IV Supervisor provides applicable physical therapy or occupational therapy care for patients with various diagnoses. Major duties include: patient evaluation, patient treatment, documentation requirements, while maintaining expected productivity levels.

Job Qualifications
Ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff from varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds Skill in making appropriate and effective decisions based on needs of the patient, priorities of the department, and the Medical Center and Department Policies and Procedures. Ability to work as a member of a team, including sharing knowledge, giving/receiving feedback, taking initiative to assist others, problem solving, providing an atmosphere conducive to learning Ability to assign and supervise the performance of appropriate treatment within the technical and legal capabilities of support personnel. Licensure /certification as a PT or OT, or eligibility to work as such; current CPR card; minimum 8 years total clinical experience as a PT or OT with supervisory experience. Demonstrates ability to establish an appropriate treatment plan, select appropriate treatment techniques, assess the results based upon synthesis of all available information, and the patients. Ability to provide an environment conducive to safe, quality patient care by using proper body mechanics, providing timely communication, removal of defective equipment, and suitable response to emergency situations and/or identification of potential problem situations.
