Job Description

Job Duties
The candidate will assess and treat outpatients and inpatients with complex swallowing, communication and cognitive disorders. The candidate will document services in the electronic health record. The candidate will interact with patients, their families, and Medical System Staff in a customer friendly manner. The candidate will follow applicable Medical Center, Clinic, Joint Commission, Department of Public Health policies and procedures. The candidate will work in a variety of settings served by the Speech Pathology Clinic.

Job Qualifications
Candidate must have a minimum of a Master's degree in Speech Pathology and a Speech Pathology license from the State of California. Proficiency in the following areas is required: MBSS, clinical swallow evaluations, communication and cognitive evaluations related to neurologic dysfunction, and Passy-Muir Valve assessment. There is an opportunity to learn FEES and TEP. Provide treatment for swallowing, communication and cognitive disorders. The candidate must write clearly and succinctly. The candidate should be motivated to improve her/his clinical knowledge base and skills. She/he should be proficient with computers for documentation, evaluation, and treatment. The candidate should be organized and efficient when executing work duties. The candidate should have at least 3 years of professional experience beyond the clinical fellowship year.
