Job Description

Job Duties
Under the direction of the Lab Director, to perform cellular, molecular biology, tissue processing and staining techniques, as well as assist in physiological experiments within the frame of recently funded project related to the development of personalized therapy for diabetes.

Job Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year experience in research laboratory. Skill in laboratory techniques. Skill in laboratory safety protocols including proper handling chemicals and biohazardous substances. Working knowledge of laboratory equipment. Ability to work with rodents and maintain accurate and complete records of experimental animals and treatments they are undergoing. Working knowledge of laboratory equipment. Ability to communicate verbally and to understand and carry out verbal instructions. Skill in communicating clearly and effectively to receive and convey information accurately and in a professional manner. Be well organized, keep neat and detailed records. Ability to manage a heavy workload with changing priorities and to ensure completion of all work in a timely manner. Analytical skills to assess relevant information, practices and procedures, define problems, formulate logical solutions, develop alternative solutions and to make recommendations. BS/BA strongly preferred.
