Job Description

Job Duties
You believe you can help UCLA Health continue providing leading-edge patient care by making our nursing team better. As a Nursing Evidence-Based Practice Specialist, you'll work with nursing leaders and clinical staff to enhance our delivery of care and improve patient outcomes. As a mentor, you'll help lead practice projects aimed at educating our nursing teams, and you'll also compile and write grant proposals, abstracts, and IRB and Magnet applications for each of our health system sites. It's important that you have the ability to write for peer-reviewed journals and the skill to communicate evidence-based practice findings to diverse audiences. You'll also need to be a team player with the initiative to work on your own and the creativity to guide others when procedures and policies change. At UCLA Health, U can change the future.

Job Qualifications
SELECTED DUTIES: Participating in the conduct and dissemination of evidence-based practice projects Leading teams, prioritizing tasks, and taking projects from conception to completion Assisting with the educational development of oral and written scholarly products Conveying complex clinical, technical, and educational information in a clear manner JOB QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree from an accredited nursing program required. Doctorate (PhD or DNP) in Nursing with a strong emphasis in evidence-based practice preferred Active Registered Nurse Licensure to practice in California Ability to develop and deliver EBP education and training material Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based practice and teaching Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to participate in the development and delivery of new education and training programs Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports, documentation, and presentations Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities, and to quickly assess highly complex, urgent problems and develop an expedient path of resolution
