Job Description

Job Duties
Under the direction of the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) Program Manager of Strategic Portfolio Management, the IT Business Analyst performs analyses, documents requirements, and assists in the development of business processes. These areas will be done in support of the DGIT Project and Service Portfolios. The IT Business Analyst serves as a liaison between the business departments, DGIT, and external vendors providing IT-related services.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or a related discipline with an information technology focus; M.B.A. degree or equivalent related business analysis experience. Strong analysis, design and implementation experience with technologies. Significant experience with vendor evaluation, selection and management experience, technical contract management, including creation of RFIs, RFPs, SoWs, SLAs, etc. Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience. Excellent problem solving, organizational skills, self-administration, attention to detail, multi-tasking, prioritization, critical thinking and analysis, decision-making, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (ability to foster a cooperative work environment and setting and managing customer expectations). CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification or equivalent. Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle Management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, or other project management/scheduling software. Knowledge and understanding of ITIL Experience working in healthcare, research and/or higher education. Experience working in a project management office (PMO). Must have excellent interpersonal (written, oral presentation) skills and have the flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships built on mutual vision, trust, collaboration and accountability without direct lines of authority. Team player; enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team as well as working independently to produce results. Self-starter, motivated, results-oriented, and disciplined. Ability to work under tight deadlines while providing high-quality work
