Job Description

Job Duties
As a part of the Professional Resource Network (PRN), provide administrative and patient care support to various ambulatory practices. Assist in coordinating patient flow throughout the clinic, from registration to discharge. Work as a member of the Ambulatory Care clinic team to provide smooth outpatient flow resulting in optimum patient satisfaction and clinic operation. Candidates are expected to recognize normal and abnormal signs and symptoms and life threatening emergencies. Perform high quality limited X-rays of extremities and torso, adhering to all UCLA Radiology guidelines. This position supports different teams/practices to cover illnesses, holidays, and leaves of absence. This role requires a candidate with a highly flexible, enthusiastic and proactive approach. Travel to all UCLA Community practices throughout the greater Southern California area and being physically present at the job site is required. Days and hours may vary depending on assignments.

Job Qualifications
X-Ray License required with a minimum 1 year experience performing X-Rays. (Limited or RT) CPR certification. Ability to skillfully administer oral, IM and subcutaneous medications. Ability to perform venipuncture with skill, adhering to all OSHA PPE safety requirements. Ability to obtain accurate vital signs and drug refills. Skill to accurately perform a 12-lead EKG. Ability to order medical and clinical supplies and maintain adequate inventory. Ability to schedule patient appointments and encounter patients using the MCCS Appointment Scheduling/Encounter Registration Programs. Ability to be flexible in working both back and front office to facilitate smooth workflow. Knowledge and ability to set up and assist physician with any procedures such as, but not limited to audiometry, spirometry, O2 saturation levels, skin tag and mole removals, ear lavage. Ability to perform accurate quality control and patient sample testing for waived tests. Knowledge of all safety requirements when handling Bio hazardous specimens or contaminated instruments. Knowledge of MSDS and emergency treatments. Minimum of two years' experience as medical assistant a physician office, medical facility or in an Internal Medicine/Family Practice. Medical Assistant Certification or Diploma is required. Travel to all UCLA Community practices throughout the greater Southern California area and being physically present at the job site is required. Days and hours may vary depending on assignments.
