Job Description

Job Duties
Under supervision, incumbents will be responsible for data collection of the assigned protocol.

Job Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to apply administrative skills in various functions in the research office: coordinate patient appointment, communication with lab / pharmacy. Computer knowledge; demonstrated ability to use word processing programs (such as MS Word), PowerPoint and data base programs (such as EXCEL and ACCESS). Skill in report writing and editing and in proof reading. Demonstrated ability to organize and maintain office systems and records. Knowledge of UCLA mainframe patient data system. Demonstrated ability to establish cooperative working relationships. Ability to function effectively as a member of a team. Be punctual with consistent attendance record. Working knowledge of good clinical practices for clinical research. Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate research deadlines including weekends, evenings and holidays. Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively and diplomatically interact with others. Strong written and spoken English communication skills to compose correspondence, present and interact with other health care providers. Ability to handle confidential material with judgment and discretion. Previous experience with patients on dialysis and differing states of kidney/renal failure.
