Job Description

Job Duties
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator of the UCLA Lung Cancer Research Program and the Lung Cancer SPORE (Specialized Program of Research Excellence), the individual will participate in all aspects of research activities as assigned. The research is divided into 2 major components; clinical trials effort and laboratory based effort. A significant component of the position requires participation in clinical trials that involve preparation of human cell based therapy with gene modification and immune monitoring of patient samples. The second component involves doing translational research in the laboratory involving molecular biology and immunology techniques in the area of lung carcinogenesis, drug discovery, and biomarker discovery.

Job Qualifications
Required Working knowledge and experience of molecular biology and immunology Experience in tissue culture Organization and meticulous record keeping Ability to work with minimal supervision Highly motivated; excellent communication and attention to detail Preferred Experience with viral transduction of cells Handling human specimens Perform animal experiments
