Job Duties
Under the direction of the study Principal Investigator (PI), the Research Assistant will provide support to the research project(s). S/he will be responsible for: Independently managing all aspects of several studies/projects under the Pediatric Survivorship Program. Act as the point of contact for internal and external information on cancer survivorship. Assist with data entry, record-keeping and data collection. Prior experience using CareConnect is preferred. Assist with preparation of research reports and written communication. Interpret and apply project/study protocols. Coordinate various administrative functions for the PI. Assist with preparation and submission of manuscripts and grant proposals. Conduct literature reviews. Schedule meetings and conference calls with individuals and working groups. Prepare meeting minutes. Recruit and supervise student research volunteers. Perform administrative duties to keep office workflow organized and efficient.

Job Qualifications
BA/BS in related field strongly preferred, MA/MS/MPH preferred. Demonstrated experience in research including quantitative/qualitative research methods and terminology. Demonstrated experience in project management, data collection and data entry. Demonstrated analytical skills to recognize issues/situations that require action, define problems by performing research and fact finding, present alternatives in an analytical and logical format and formulate recommendations. Demonstrated written communication and proofreading skills. Excellent verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of policies and procedures of Human Subjects-related research. Computer literate with fluent word processing skills, database, spreadsheet and statistical software including experience and efficiency in SAS and SPSS. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Ability to establish and maintain accurate files and records. Organizational skills to effectively prioritize work load. Willingness to work as a supportive copperative member of an interdisciplinary team. Experience utilizing CareConnect to access and patient data for research purposes.
