Job Description

Job Duties
The International Medical Graduates (IMGs) are bilingual in English and Spanish who graduated from international medical school listed as approved by the Medical Board of California (http://www.medbd.ca.gov/applicant/schools.html) and will participate in clinical rotations at UCLA or affiliated sites as set forth by the UCLA IMG Program under the joint direction of the Executive Vice Chair and Executive Director of the department of Family Medicine. This rotation offers the student intern of the UCLA IMG Program to be immersed in the US health care system in various settings and receive evaluations for the course work that they are expected to complete prior to graduation from this pre-residency training program to a Family Medicine Residency Training Program. The UCLA IMG Program Curriculum is comprised of multiple programs (B, C, and D) and is sequential. Participants must meet certain requirements in order to move to subsequent levels. If/when the student reaches Program D, the s/he will fall into a "Volunteer" status.

Job Qualifications
REQUIRED -Ability to read, write and speak in both English and Spanish -Graduated from an international medical school listed as approved by the Medical Board of CA -Ability to work effectively and closely with other members of the clinical team -Willingness and ability to maintain confidentiality -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and E-mail. Must work well in team/group setting.
