Job Description

Job Duties
Clinical Social Worker provides a range of services in the Adult Partial Hospitalization Program as a case coordinator managing an active caseload of adults in an outpatient setting. Duties include psychiatric care coordination; consultation to team; individual, family, and group psychotherapeutic treatment; liaison with community agencies; treatment plan documentation; advocacy; and disposition planning. Periodic weekend rotation on inpatient services (including geriatric, adult, child/adolescent) with flexed day off.

Job Qualifications
Most essential requirements include: Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the US Council on Social Work LCSW preferred, if no LCSW will be a Clinical Social Worker II. At least two year's post-Master's experience with mental health treatment preferred. Knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis, social assessment, and current treatment modalities. Demonstrated ability to rapidly establish and maintain effective therapeutic rapport with patients and families, as well as collegial relationships, especially across disciplines. Demonstrated knowledge of laws pertinent to mental health treatment. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced setting requiring frequent adjustment of priorities, rapidly and independently problem-solve most daily problems without supervision. Demonstrated skill and comfort doing intense interpersonal work with persons with severe mental illness and their families. Strong customer service orientation.
