Summary

Providesdirect patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicablescope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission ofthe organization.

Weare seeking an energetic, independent RN to work in our dynamic Women and FamilySupport Team where you will have the opportunity to work with patients in NICU,Post-partum and Pediatrics. For those interested in expanding their skills, orwith previous experience, you the opportunity to work in our Labor and Deliveryunit.

Wepay a float differential for all RN positions in our Float Pool.

JobDuties

Plans,implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment tooptimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, andcommunicates patient condition as appropriate.

Collaboratesas needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patienttransfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial supportneeds.

Evaluateslearning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family educationappropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Effectivelydelegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses andnew hires.

Skillsand Abilities

Withinscope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and theability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast pacedenvironment, and take appropriate action. Follows Standard Precautions usingpersonal protective equipment as required.

Requirements

* 6 mos. Nursing experience inL&D, Post Partum and/or NICU


* Statelicensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
* BasicLife Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant unit certificationrequirement.
* Graduateof an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 yearsexperience.

PreferredQualities

* BSN and 2years experience in women's health
