Executive Assistant-INF001255

We are seeking an Executive Assistant to provide advanced administrative support for our Vice President of Information Technology here at U.S. Cellular. Through professional management of the executive calendar, problem solving complex issues and the use of the MS Office suite of technology, this role acts as an extension of the executive in preparing oral and written communications as well as presentations involving PowerPoint and Excel.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate flow of oral and written communications.
* Ensure appropriate telephone coverage is maintained at all times.
* Update and maintain the executive calendar and monitor schedules.
* Sort, prioritize, answer, organize, and distribute mail.
* Prepare, edit and proofread correspondence, reports, presentations, and memos.
* Plan and coordinate meetings and make travel arrangements.
* Initiate procedures and actions to ensure and improve efficiency and organization of Vice President's office.
* Interact with department personnel and executive staff.
* Handle issues/questions/follow-ups for Vice President's where appropriate.
* Organize and maintain office files for Vice President's office.

Experience and Educational Requirements

* 5-7 years successful administrative experience providing support to executive management required.
* High School diploma or state equivalency required.
* Professional, discreet manner in maintaining confidentiality.
* Executive communication skills: ability to edit and proofread executive level documents and presentations is desired.
* Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
* Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook required. Expertise with Excel pivot tables desired.
* Excellent verbal communication skills to include ability to effectively handle complex questions and issues independently.
* Strong interpersonal skills, business sense, and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff.
* Flexible and cooperative in working on team efforts with attention to detail.
* Organization skills and ability to prioritize and take initiative to accommodate work flow.
