Job Title: Part-time Clinical Professor, Dental Hygiene

Position Available: 1/2/2017

Regular or Temporary: Regular

Salary Range: 0.00 - 25.00 Hourly

Job Description: A part-time clinical faculty position responsible to the dean, Nursing and Health Sciences and the

professor/department chair, Dental Hygiene for assigned clinical supervision of students at the on-campus dental hygiene clinic. Duties may include day and evening

classes. Other responsibilities include:

1. Evaluation of student clinical performance.

2. Participation in clinical calibration exercises for grading consistency.

3. Performing other duties as assigned by dean and/or department chair.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Associate degree in dental hygiene required.

2. Baccalaureate degree in dental hygiene or associate degree in dental hygiene and baccalaureate degree in related field preferred.

3. Current Texas license to practice professional dental hygiene required.

4. Three years recent dental hygiene clinical required; 3 years teaching experience preferred.

5. Current Health Care Provider, CPR training required.

6. Ability to work with diverse groups of individuals.

7. Willingness to maintain student and patient confidentiality.
