Under direction of either an Accounting Supervisor or Senior Accountant, the Prevailing Wage Coordinator is responsible for the monitoring of contractors and subcontractors to assure compliance with all local, state and federal laws governing prevailing wage; performs related duties as required.

Assist team managing new processes including prevailing wage reporting process and employee

validation

Monitors established procedures for contractor and subcontractor compliance with the reporting requirements according to all local, state and federal laws governing prevailing wage;

Works to assist with training subs on the City program and help to ensure compliance before monthly pay-app process.

Attends pre-construction meetings to establish guidelines with contractors for compliance with prevailing wage laws;

Establishes and maintains a record of payroll reports of contractors and sub-contractors associated with

the project and Notifies the project management of any reporting delinquencies;

Makes on-site inspections of contractors and sub-contractors working on site at the project.

May make select visits to contractors and subcontractors' offices to help subcontractors understand/coach

their obligation and LCP Tracker responsibilities

Reviews monthly payroll reports of employees' wages submitted by contractors and subcontractors.

Manages and utilizes Software - LCP Tracker to record internal labor and research/resolve any discrepancies that come up between our internal payroll system (SAP) and LCP Tracker.

Works with all Subcontractors to assure they are using the LCP Tracker Software system

Help Coordinate resolution and resolution payments when employees are paid less than the published Prevailing Wage.

Audit assistance for trade partners and Prevailing Wage program staff, Coordinate and participate in random audits performed by Prevailing Wage staff.

Makes unannounced field inspections to assure that employees are working within the guidelines as

specified for LCP Tracker, or there is reason to believe something is not correct.

Ensure current prevailing wage required postings are located appropriately on site as required

Monitor changes in prevailing wage publications to ensure they are properly distributed via contractual requirements.

Assist with Pay applications held for issues by Prevailing Wage staff and assist with brining any issues to resolution.

Internally maintains files of employees' payroll records and wage packages submitted by contractors and

subcontractors ; upload files to LCP Tracker as required; retrieves files upon request for review.

Coordinates with City divisions regarding questions and/or any problems in administering all local,

state and federal laws governing prevailing wage.

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Understand basic accounting principles i.e. journal entries, general ledger, etc. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, good work ethic and interpersonal skills.

Preferred: Experience with LCP Tracker software.
