The position manages the financial analysis of the organization and actively participates in the strategic planning process and implementation of strategic goals.  The position oversees asset/Liability Management, Investments, Accounting and Budgeting to ensure that organizational mission, vision, values and philosophies are incorporated in all daily activities. 



  1. Develop effective employees through training, coaching, evaluating, motivating, and goal-setting.
  2. As part of the senior staff team, participate in the strategic planning process of the organization, coordinating with the CEO and Board of Directors to identify opportunities and organizational direction in line with the company values and philosophies
  3. Oversee Asset/Liability Management, Investments, Accounting and Budgeting to ensure organizational philosophies, values, procedures, and securities are effectively translated to the use of resources and the delivery of superior member service. 
  4. Participate in the strategic planning process of the organization, coordinating with the CEO and Board of Directors to identify opportunities and organizational direction in line with the company values and philosophies.
  5. Regularly report to the CEO and Board of Directors regarding activities and      operations associated with this position.
  6. Respond to and coordinate the completion of Board of Director annual goals.
  7. Spearhead the financial analysis and direction of the credit union to ensure growth and stability of credit union funds.
  8. Attend Board of Directors meetings, as required for proposals and reports specifically related to this position.
  9. Participate in community events as a representative of the organization.
  10. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


  • Knowledge of:
      • Credit Union operations, procedures, products, services, philosophies, practices, and systems
      • Strong technical knowledge in computer systems and operations
      • Financial analysis and accounting
      • Technology and various software programs
  • Ability to:
      • Read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form
      • Organize and prioritize in order to meet deadlines
      • Solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations
      • Write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before members, employees, and the Board of Directors
      • Self direct with the initiative and drive necessary to activate a project from conception through completion
      • Develop, motivate, guide, and evaluate staff
      • Identify opportunities and evaluate possible ventures to ensure that organizational goals are achieved
  • Skill in:
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with members and co-employees
      • Typing and personal computer
      • Accounting
      • Making effective and timely decisions


Critical Development Experiences:

Pursue opportunities for professional growth and development through training, education and self-study

Successfully complete all applicable compliance training and testing


Education and experience equivalent to:

CPA designation, or

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Accounting, Business Administration or related field desired, or

Six or more years of progressively responsible related experience desired, or

Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job required.


Regular attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position.  While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for a significant period of time and perform functions that require manual dexterity.  The employee must occasionally reach above or below normal body position, stoop or bend, and carry, lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.  A normal range of hearing, vision, and speech are required to effectively work with co-employees and members.


Follows regulatory and policy compliance requirements, which include those efforts in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations, Identity Theft Red Flags and other compliance related Policies.  This position also requires maintaining confidentiality with regard to non-public information about our members and the Credit Union.
