Job Description

Marketing & Communications Intern

$12-15/hr

Part time 20 hrs/wk

As the Marketing and Communications Intern, you will be responsible for:

* Updating and maintaining the Trudeau Centers social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
* Assisting in planning, writing, and managing the agencys monthly newsletter
* Suggesting, drafting, and distributing news releases, reports, donation thank you letters, media alerts, and other organization communication
* Providing content and photo updates to the Trudeau Center website
* Assisting with email marketing and online advertising
* Designing flyers, graphics, invitations, and other marketing material for events
* Assisting and attending special events as needed
* Performing administrative duties including: data entry, generating reports, copying, filing, and tracking documents to complete projects
* Other duties as assigned

Education/Requirements:

* Completed or working towards a college degree in a related field (i.e. English, Marketing/Communications, or Public Relations)
* Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is preferred
* A firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space
* Knowledge of communications technology: website development/maintenance, email marketing, and online advertising
* Must be computer literate (working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
* Knowledge of HTML and graphic design is a plus
* Effective written and oral communication skills
* Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented
* Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines
* Enthusiasm for Trudeau Centers mission
* A valid drivers license, safe driving record, and current automobile insurance
