Job Description

The Truckee Fire Protection District is seeking candidates for the position of Part-Time Fire Prevention Inspector Compensation: $26.06/hr 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: Under general supervision of the Fire Marshal, to perform a full range of technical duties involved in fire service inspections, provide assistance to the general public, and to provide technical support to Fire District staff. 

Job Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.

• High School diploma or GED.

• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.

• Minimum 3-years’ structure and wildland firefighting experience.

• Recommended 3-years’ experience performing commercial fire inspections.

• Recommended 3-years’ experience performing defensible space inspections.

• Must be efficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with ability to learn other computer programs.
