Job Description

Overview

Intern needed to work in the engineering department working various tasks from program support, program proposals, procedures revisions, R&D efforts, engineering drafting, analysis, document archival, manufacturing engineering process improvement to other engineering related tasks. Position involves exposure/assignment to various engineering activities including manufacturing engineering, research and development, test lab, proposals, structural design, systems design, stress analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. The tasks will vary over time based on program requirements as well as candidate's availability and skills. Training will be provided as required to meet job assignments and may include CATIA, SAP and other as well as normal business related training. Candidate will need good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

Intern will be responsible for meeting assigned tasks within schedule and budget as defined by their managers.

Qualifications

* Successful candidate will be a CURRENT college student with a MINIMUM cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must have completed a minimum of 60 or more semester hours and be able to provide unofficial transcripts to support this requirement. *Candidates must have excellent verbal communication, organizational skills and be a self-starter. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. *Candidates pursuing a degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering are preferred. *Must be able to work a 40 hour schedule during the summer. Must be able to work 10-20 hours during school with a work schedule that is flexible to insure adequate time is available for school schedule and peak education demands.
