We are looking for a strategic, financial and marketing driven individual that thrives in a high volume, fast pace, and a team environment to fill our Land Analyst position located in Raleigh, NC.

Position Highlights:

This position will assist the Director of Land Acquisition with establishing the Division's market strategy and identifying and acquiring specific residential land opportunities throughout the Raleigh area to meet the Division's strategic goals.

Position Responsibilities:

* Gather primary and secondary data, assist in data analysis, and contribute to production of the Strategic Plan preparation.
* Demonstrate understanding of the market and key submarkets.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to guide operational strategy.
* Utilize rigorous, fact based, quantitative and qualitative analysis to support recommendations.
* Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations.
* Assist in building consistently accurate databases and toolkits for Market Intelligence.
* Have a detailed understanding of the uses of these databases.
* Present and explain analytical contributions to business decisions at the Division level. Manage deal feasibility data collection.
* Assist in completion of the feasibilities:
* Manage feasibility tasks, including conducting fieldwork, gathering data from the competitive database(s) and other secondary sources, and compiling/formatting information in the feasibility format.


* Assist in completion of the annual Strategic Plan.
* Prioritize effectively across multiple projects/workstreams and efficiently use the organization's resources across departments.

Position Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree required. BA/BS degree in real estate, finance, business, economics, city planning, architecture, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
* 2 plus years of similar work experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in real estate, relevant coursework (real estate, finance, statistics, economics, demographics, etc.), related internship, or prior experience.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in MS Excel.
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills and understanding of financial analysis.
* Strong verbal and written skills, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
* Highly organized, highly motivated, and able to get things done quickly and accurately.
* Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment.
* Ability to prepare quality presentation graphics, including tables, charts, maps, etc.
* Familiarity with GIS applications and residential real estate data bases (Meyers, MetroStudy, MRIS, etc.)
* Familiarity with demographic databases and proficient in researching and compiling demographic information by geographic areas.
* Basic understanding of building plans and zoning ordinances desirable.
