Job Description

Assistant Director of Asset Management The Housing Authority of the City ofTrenton, NewJersey, is seeking aqualified candidate for the position of Assistant Director of Asset Management This position reports directly 10 the Deputy ExecutiVi? Director and is directly responsible for managing all housing operations functions for approximately 725 to 900 public housing units situated in two (2) or more HUD Asset ManagementProjects (AMPs) The successful candidate is also responsible for performing avariety of supervisory, administrative, and monitoring tasks relating to the management, maintenance, and long-term capital improvements orTHA owned housing stock; directing cmd supervising all i1ssigned management and maintenance staff including Principal Housing M,magef5, if i1pplic<lble; monitoring ,md milnaging the budgets of assigned AMPs to ensure that the properties are performing in accord with HUD's Asset Management Cri teria; strategic planning clOd providing recommendations in thearea of staffing,budgeting policy and procedures, and program development A Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred, from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration or a directly related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in a moderate to large public housing authority, real estate property management or related area of experience, five (5) years of which were served in senior level management including extensive supervisory responsibility is required, The successful candidate must have a PHM certification or acquire it within one (1) year of assuming the position and knowledge of: fedffal, state and local laws, rules and regulations pertaining to low inwme housing: housing quatity standards and lTI<Iintenance of facilities; principles, practices, and techniques of public housing management, including financial management Qualified applicants should forward their resume, writing sample, and salary requirement to: Trenton Housing Authority, 875 New Willow Street,Trenton, New Jersey 08638, Attention: Human Resources Department or fax 10 609-394-2468 oremail: fnalbone@tha-nj.org (Only candidateswhose qualifications meet position requirements will be contacted, EOE/AA)
