Entry to Mid-Level Field/Construction Engineer / Experienced Technician

TRC is seeking a fulltime Entry to MidLevel Field/Construction Engineer or experienced Technician to join our Geo-Environmental and Civil Engineering Team. The position will be stationed in our Madison, Wisconsin office. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth and will provide construction observation and documentation support for a wide variety of technically challenging projects primarily for industrial, utility, renewable energy, and solid waste management clients. As a Field Construction Engineer/Technician, you will apply your knowledge and develop new skills while working on challenging projects. Our Field/Construction Engineers & Technicians:

* Perform and manage field work including construction oversight, drilling oversight, soil/groundwater sampling, etc.
* Provide construction observation and documentation support.
* Work in both a field and office environment.
* Develop reports, perform engineering calculations, and provide other office support when not assigned to a field project.
* Have excellent attitudes and work well within a team environment.
* Demonstrate excellent writing/verbal communication skills for interaction with multidisciplinary staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
* Have developed organization and planning skills.
* Travel regionally including multi-day/overnight assignments. Anticipate over 30 percent field time for this position.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Previous field technician experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
* Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
* Minimum of one (1) internship experience including construction observation, documentation, quality control, and quality assurance.
* Experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Ability to pass company physical exam indicating eligibility to work in an outdoor environment for extended periods of time and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Valid driver's license with no major violations.
* Willingness to travel regionally including multi-day/overnight assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the basic qualifications the qualifications below are highly desired but not required:

* Engineer in Training (EIT) registration.
* Three (3) years environmental or civil engineering consulting experience with progressive responsibility.
* OSHA 40Hour HAZWOPER training certification.
* Troxler nuclear density gauge training.
