Our Fort Worth office is seeking an experienced SURVEY TECHNICIAN to join its survey team. This is a challenging position for a candidate with a desire to gain exposure to varied and interesting projects.


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum 3 years related experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience in the reduction of conventional and GPS survey field data of boundary and topographic surveys.
  • Experience in writing property descriptions and preparing boundary maps.
  • Have an understanding of the State Plane coordinate systems and Datums.
  • Candidate should be responsible, dependable, detail oriented and willing to learn.
  • Must have a good driving record.
  • Must be capable of passing applicable safety training requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience operating MicroStation-Geopak and Leica software.
  • Certified Survey Technician certification Level 2 and or Level 3 (OFFICE TRACK)
  • 10 Hour OSHA Certification


General Duties & Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:


  • Perform quality checks on field notes and data files submitted by field crews.
  • Process raw data files from total stations/GPS/Digital Levels into ASCII formatted text files.
  • Develop TIN files, DTM and contours using appropriate field located points and breaklines.
  • Prepare boundary survey drawings, metes and bounds descriptions and right-of-way maps under RPLS supervision.
  • Research Appraisal District information and County Deed records.
  • Organize research for field crew.
  • Read legal descriptions, maps and project plans.
  • Provide construction staking calculations.
