The Chicago/Schaumburg, IL offices seeks an Entry Civil/ Rail Engineer to join our growing office of highway structural, roadway, rail, intermodal designers and construction inspectors as a project engineer. This person will be a member of our rail division and will assist in various tasks including plan preparation, quantity calculation, geometric design, drainage design, site development design, construction inspection, specifications, cost estimates and other related tasks. Microstation, Geopak, and MS Office and other design software will be used, and all work will be in collaboration with other engineers, technicians, planners, and surveyors. Candidates with a background in preliminary engineering or development of detailed plans and specification are preferred; and must possess strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment on multi-disciplinary projects.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program
* Experience with MicroStation/ Geopak or AutoCAD
* Experience with Microsoft Office Programs

Preferred Qualifications:

* December 2017 or May 2018 graduate
* EIT certification
* Experience within the transportation industry
* Local candidates
* No relocation or stipend assistance

Travel requirements: Up to 10%
