What You'll Bring:

* Experience in healthcare billing and follow-up, including appealing denials and underpayments from insurance payers
* Basic understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle
* Problem solving and analytical skills
* Organizational skills and detail-orientation

What We'd Love to See:

* Experience working in healthcare billing systems
* Billing or medical coding certification
* Revenue cycle experience preferred with familiarity in using Healthcare Information Systems like EPIC, Paragon, Zirmed and/or other billing systems
* Basic MS Office experience to include Word, Excel and Outlook
* Strong written and verbal skills
* Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment

Impact You'll Make:

* Expectations in the first 90 days: You will become familiar with TransUnion's product platforms as well as the policies and procedures of the providers specific to the projects you will work on
* What you'll accomplish beyond 90 days: Review output from our proprietary revenue cycle platform to verify correct eligibility and payment information for small to mid-balance accounts
* Analyze contract, billing, cash costing, pricing, and collections on accounts in compliance with billing regulations, policies and procedures
* Investigate all insurance payments that deviate from expected payment
* Call healthcare insurance companies, their affiliates & providers to resolve any question about contract or payment issues
* Document next steps in proprietary workflow system or hospital billing application for recovery of correct payment
* Meet or exceed production, quality and accuracy standards while ensuring privacy and documentation procedures are maintained
* Collaboration with team members and management is critical in this role. Associates are required to share office equipment and relay production concerns effectively and in a timely manner
