What You Will Do:

The Transamerica Business Analytics Internship provides you with a unique learning experience with hands-on experience to support your professional growth. You will gain knowledge of the financial industry from service to back-office operations. You will benefit from being in an expanding, entrepreneurial environment, set within the greater infrastructure of a large corporation.

Most significantly, you will be a part of the Transamerica team, and you will be working on real projects. Your personal success will help to drive our success. Finally, you will be in an environment with direct access and ample opportunity to network with department leaders and other professionals within our organization.

What You Will Learn:

You will gain real world experience and learn best practices of data management through tools such as Alteryx and Tableau. You will be working with a team of ambitious and engaged professionals who bring fresh ideas and diverse perspectives to help us continually shake up the status quo and stay on the forefront of reinventing how we meet our customer needs.

What Success Looks Like:

Working collaboratively with other interns, data analysts, and client groups:

* Data cleansing and research
* Systems interaction
* Dashboard/reporting development
* Lead creation
* Marketing liaison
* Process management
* Project work/prioritization

Qualifications:

* In pursuit of BS or MS degree in a technical field (Finance/Business, Accounting, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, etc.)
* Strong communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Desire to learn data management tools: Alteryx, Tableau, Salesforce
* Organized and self-motivated, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments

Working Environment:

* Office environment
* Student must be able to work a minimum of 25-35 hours per week and ideal candidate would have school on M/W/F and be able to work T/TH or vice versa.
