The Town of Frisco is looking for an energetic, outgoing & detail oriented person to join our Finance Team. Finance Administrative Assistant $18.50/hour - $23.90/hour Full Time, Year Round. Great benefit package & perks!

The Town of Frisco is looking for an energetic, outgoing and detail oriented Finance Administrative Assistant to help with day to day deposits, credit card reconciliation and general administrative work for the Finance Department.

This job has a lot of contact with other departments, and the public, therefore an outgoing person will be an ideal candidate. 

This is a Monday through Friday job; 8am - 5pm.

The position is open until filled.

Responsible for daily revenue collection and deposits, processes water payments and reconciles all credit card receipts for the Town of Frisco. This position has an intermediate level of understanding of the Colorado Sales Tax laws. Deals with detailed record and information management. Work is often quantitative in nature. Typically uses computerized data management and analysis systems. Provides assistance in at least one of the following areas: budget monitoring; support in budget preparation; processing sales and lodging tax returns and applications; licensing and fee assessment; enforcing and explaining policies, and regulations; maintaining a variety of financial transactions; compiling information and preparing reports and/or summaries. 

Responsibilities

  • Collects payment from Town of Frisco outlets daily
  • Assists in processing sales and lodging tax returns and payments
  • Processes water payments; first contact for water customer billing inquiries; processes basic water database updates; completes title company water status requests
  • Assists customers with water questions,  completes title company water status request
  • Assists finance department with administrative duties; makes copies, files documents, etc.
  • Assists in inventory accounting for retail operations
  • Performs daily credit card transaction reconciliations; follows up with retail staff to resolve discrepancies
  • Processes daily organization-wide deposits and delivers to bank
  • Performs random audits of all cash-handling and retail operations to ensure compliance with cash-handling policies
  • Holds cash-handling training sessions for new employees at different Town of Frisco locations
  • Assists with the creation of Finance Department documents, using InDesign publishing software, including the Community Scorecard and Town Budget
  • Performs basic troubleshooting to reconcile account balances and inquiry to obtain missing information or verify unusual data.
  • Cross-trains to provide back-up support for Finance Specialist and Revenue Specialist
  • Assists with filing of payroll, purchasing card and human resources documentation
  • Assists the Human Resources department with recruiting, hiring and filing
  • Communicates in a professional manner
  • Adheres to Town of Frisco policies and regulations including proper attire, safety procedures, and overall professionalism
  • Works in a team-based environment supporting the Finance and Administration Departments and the Town of Frisco
  • Performs other duties as assigned
