Job Description

Position Summary

The Town of Breckenridge Public Works Department, Engineering Division is seeking a dedicated and customer service oriented individual(s) for the position of Engineering Intern  (Summer Seasonal).  The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Engineering Division including construction administration and office related tasks. The Intern position may be office or field based and will provide practical experience working on engineering projects.

Primary duties and assignments include, but may not be limited to:

Construction administration including field observations, quantity take-offs, site construction documentation, erosion control inspections; file management and other related administrative responsibilities; AutoCAD and GIS related tasks, GPS mapping for asset management; and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be enrolled in a degree program for civil engineering, construction management or a closely related field.


LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR record.

 

Additional Information

WORK SCHEDULE
Must be able to work M-F 8AM to 5PM including and up to 40 hours per week or as needed at the discretion of management.
