Basic Function

Responsible to the Distribution Engineering Director for tasks related to the design of overhead and underground distribution projects.

Required Qualifications

Attending an accredited college or university with 12 credit hours or more and working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or engineering technology, with knowledge of computers, CAD, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office software. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must have a valid Colorado driver's license.

Job Requirements

Must be a team player with exceptional organizational skills and a willingness to learn.

Duties require learning of IREA design and construction specifications for 600 volt and 15 kV overhead and underground distribution systems along with N.E.S.C, and N.E.C regulations.

Reports to and receives general direction from the Distribution Engineering Director to define work and other objectives.

This job requires normal mental and visual attention. The duties and tasks involve light work and may require the ability to lift a maximum of 20 pounds. Physical demands also include walking or hiking on all types of terrain. Working conditions are inside and outside, including possible isolated areas and exposure to adverse weather conditions.

This position is a great opportunity for learning the roll of a staff engineer.
