Job Description Summary:

The Quality Assurance Regulatory Specialist position will have responsibility and partnership with Quality Management team in the resolution of all product non-compliance issues related to regulatory or product safety for all TOMS products.

Role and Responsibilities:

Collaborate as part of Global Quality Team to ensure Americas and EMEA product meets or exceeds TOMS quality and safety standards

Determine customer quality requirements, convey standards to China Quality Team and assist in determining overall product quality and testing standards
Within product development process, provide feedback to Product team on product manufacturability and quality implications
Take point in managing Americas and EMEA in-market non-conformance issues to resolution; Coordinate issue resolution and manage internal stakeholder communications
Manage incoming inspections, including setting standards and procedures, training 3PL personnel and tracking/reporting results
Monitor regulatory and other developments in the industry and markets to maintain the highest degree of compliance with all international regulatory.
Initial liaison to TOMS Global end customer requests relating to quality & product safety.

Assess product quality trends and drive quality improvement

Assess product quality results and analyze for key trends, including trends by factory, customer, material and silhouette
Work with global Quality team and other stakeholders to develop and execute product quality improvement plans
Assist Quality Management Team in developing & maintaining Quality Assurance & Product Safety policy for operation and control in accordance to TOMS Standard Operating Procedures, including tracking system.

Ensure product testing effectiveness and compliance to meet global testing standards

Assure product & quality protocols incorporate appropriate elements of product safety / quality and regulatory requirements are enforced.
Manage relationship with internally and externally testing companies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: BS/BA in Quality, Supply Chain, Business or equivalent experience.
Experience: College graduate and minimum 5 -7 years of experiences in the footwear or apparel supply chain, regulatory experience in consumer goods or a related field
Travel: Up to 20%, including China and Europe
Knowledge / Skills / Ability:

ISO/other Quality Management Systems, Lean Six Sigma certification, ASO certification.
Expertise or working knowledge of footwear and apparel.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and collaborative skills; Ability to synthesize data into comprehensive reports for all levels of staff
Adaptive to fast and continuous change.
Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a professional manner
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong project management, organizational and analytical skills; ability to work effectively under time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines.
Multi-task on projects with the ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access required
Must be detail oriented with the ability to fulfill responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Ability to develop new procedures, polices and reporting tools to simplify and improve operations.
Ability to work in a team environment
