Summary

The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supervision of the front end as well as responsible for assigned administrative tasks within the store. The Engagement Coordinator works with Management to ensure that both Customer and Associate engagement philosophies are operational and that tasks associated with both are executed. The Engagement Coordinator must be available to working nights, weekends and should be open to being cross-trained in all other Coordinators positions, e.g. Backroom and Merchandise.

Areas of Responsibility

Oversees the front end operation of the store, ensures line control and that proper cashier coverage is present. Work with management to train cashiers on the technical portion of the job, customer engagement and other point of sale initiatives. Supervise cashiers to ensure that customers have a great experience and that all policies and processes are followed.

Support the Assistant Manager-Operations to complete daily office tasks.

Assist Managers in creating an engaging work environment for Associates. Ensures the Associate Lounge reflects seasonal changes with decorations, contests, etc. Organize/maintain Associate motivational programs. Work with Management to ensure that the engagement programs are reflected in the atmosphere of the store.

Desire to pursue a career in Retail Management

 

Minimum experience

One year of retail experience

Prior retail supervisory experience preferred
