Position Summary
The Transportation Supervisor supports the Manager of Transportation and Vice President of Store Transportation Services with all aspects of retail store delivery operations. This role will act as the primary point of contact for Store Transportation Services, store logistics and serve as the liaison among Distribution Services, and Store Operations. This associate will support TJX logistical strategies and deliver merchandise to stores in a cost-efficient manner while meeting or exceeding service standards. Responsibilities also include developing procedures that control our assets, improve work methods and support financial information to and from Home Office.
Key Responsibility Areas
- A minimum of 2- 4 years’ experience in Logistics
- Experience leading and managing teams
- Knowledge of motor carrier industry
- Understanding of distribution center operations
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of transportation management systems and software (Manugistics, RoutePro)
- Ability to work cross functionally to deliver results
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related
