Position summary:

The Madison, WI Regional Financial Office (RFO) has a part time (20-25 hours per week) Internship opportunity available from June 2019 - graduation. This role is available to ONLY students that will be Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors heading into the fall of 2019. This role will be an excellent learning opportunity for a college student who is seeking to learn more about the financial services industry. In addition, you will help to manage the movement of Thrivent members when reassignment is necessary. This includes individual requests from Financial Professional's, (FP's) Office Professional's (OPs) and the Thrivent Financial Guidance Team. You will also follow-up and inform FPs and Field Leaders of these reassignments. reassignments.

Position Qualifications and Opportunities:

* A strong desire for learning more about the Financial Services Industry
* Opportunity to learn more about our products and services, and Thrivent Financial
* Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), data-base Salesforce, and other related software packages (desired)
* Attention to detail, ability to follow through with tasks and have great organization skills, along with being able to communicate well with FPs/Field Leaders when situations/conflicts arise.
* Good understanding of RFO geography and ability to work with FPs and Field Leaders to explain member assignment rules/system limitations.
* Ability to discern/understand FP intentions and to deal with requests appropriately.

Ideal candidate:

* Sophomore, Junior or Senior Year College Students working towards an undergraduate degree in business or finance; minimum GPA of 3.0
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Desire to learn more about the financial services industry
* Strong oral and written communication skills
